BruWorx, LLC was founded and is operated by Paul Zimmerman. His craft beverage industry experience spans the last 15 years, showcasing his skills in new product development, graphic design, supply chain, and fulfillment. Paul got his start in the industry in 2008 as a partner at B. Nektar Meadery, helping the business grow from infancy, to widely recognized brand, with multi-million dollar sales by 2015. Eventually Paul became director of operations and new product development. His contributions to the business, from recipe development to branding, gave him a great understanding of how to build success with a craft beverage brand.
In 2017 Paul left B. Nektar Meadery to pursue other avenues in craft beverage with the launch of BruWorx. By January of 2018, BruWorx acquired Outstate Seller licensing for beer and wine in the State of Michigan to work in tandem with Oath Distributing, helping them to source outstanding craft beverages from out of State. This unique team allows smaller alcoholic beverage brands to distribute in Michigan without the need to acquire the licenses themselves. To date, BruWorx has assisted Oath with over 25 brands for Michigan compliance and logistics in both Detroit and Chicago.
Over the following 6 years, Paul started to add on other craft beverage consulting services to compliment his Outstate Seller business. He began working with start-up brands to create new products. In late 2018, he began helping to develop a new Detroit-based cider brand, called Mad Farmer, with new product formulation, branding graphics, and supply chain. In 2020, with friends Michael Spears and Barry Mulso, Paul helped launch Triaxial Meadsmiths, a premium mead producer operating out of Fourth Coast Ciderworks in Orion Township, MI. In 2021, Paul began consulting with Baynes Cider Project to make ciders for their taproom in Freeland, MI. In 2022 the partners at Triaxial also launched a canned sangria brand called Vivid Grove Cellars. In addition, he has been slowly working on a non-alcoholic brand called Lost Anchor, which he hopes to launch soon.
As 2023 started to gain steam with shipping to Oath Distributing, Paul saw opportunity to expand the tool belt even further by becoming a logistics agency. During the summer of 2023, BruWorx teamed up with Trinity Logistics, as an agent, to better control shipping costs. This partnership, with Trinity, gives BruWorx one more powerful tool to help craft beverage brands save time and control costs while bringing their products to market. It’s also an area to save some money on the cost of raw materials headed for production.
BruWorx is now able to bring this all together and offer assistance with product development, compliance, production operations guidance, logistics, graphics, and planning.
